7609 Mulberry Bottom Lane, Springfield, Virginia
Well, we found a house on the first day of house-hunting... 2nd one we looked at. It was most definitely the one and we didn't have to look any further. My Mom actually had her eye on this house for a long time so it's one I had viewed before. It's quite a step up from the 2 base houses we have lived in the past 9 years. I love base living but it will be nice for a change to live in a civilian neighborhood. Our house is tucked away with another home in a small cul-de-sac... very safe for the boys (a huge plus for me) with a huge fenced-in backyard. We get the keys on Monday and the movers bring our stuff on Thursday. Living in temporary lodging facilities on Ft Belvoir hasn't been too bad, but getting back into a house of our own will be nice since we've been "homeless" for the past month (that's long enough with a 4 and almost 2-year-old).

Back on the East Coast...
So we're in between moves... living the nomadic lifestyle, not yet sure what our next address will be. We do know it will be in Northern Virginia, or as Virginians call it, "NoVa". Jimmy made it to Fort Belvoir today (temporary living until we find a home). The boys & I fly up tomorrow and then we'll meet with a realtor on Tuesday to look at homes... to rent. The unknown is a little stressful but exciting at the same time. My blog may be neglected for awhile... when I'm back up and running, that will mean we found a home and our household goods made it. My hope is to be in a home by the end of this month/middle of June/latest end of June... we'll see. There are always surprises... the boys think this is all just one big vacation. That's a fun way to look at it. Until next time, I'm signing off.
Always fun at the McKorell home...
